Sonny Seals is the founder and Managing Director of Eton Partners LLC. with over 20 years’ experience in the Executive Search industry. Mr. Seals leads the firms focus on the Private Equity community and has completed many C Level assignments for leading Buy Out and Venture firms. He has done C Level placements in a variety of industry sectors including technology, manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, retail, land management and real estate development. Prior to forming Eton Partners, Mr. Seals was a Vice President with A.T. Kearney, a global management consulting and executive search firm.
Before entering the executive search business, Mr. Seals was the senior marketing officer at Russell Corporation, a global consumer products firm. He led the formation of the corporate marketing organization, and was responsible for the firm’s entry into branded consumer products and new global markets. In the course of his career at Russell Corporation, he also served in a variety of senior level manufacturing, sales, product development and marketing positions.
Mr. Seals is very active in the Private Equity and Venture Capital sectors. He is a member of several professional associations and is well known in the Southeastern Private Equity community. Mr. Seals is also an active member of the Atlanta Arts Community and presently serves on the Alliance Theatre Company advisory board. He had previously served on the Board of the Alliance and the Executive Committee. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in Management and has served on several boards including the Georgia Tech Alumni Association Board of Trustees. He recently chaired the Advisory Board for the Ferst Center for the Performing Arts at Georgia Tech and now serves as Board Chair for the Georgia Tech Arts Advisory Board. Mr. Seals is also the Co-Founder of Historic Rural Churches of Georgia (www.hrcga.org), a not-for-profit organization focused on documenting and preserving old rural churches across Georgia.
Karl Sachsenmaier is Managing Director and Partner of the outsourcing and information technology practice of Eton Partners, LLC. Mr. Sachsenmaier has more than 30 years experience in these fields and has provided leadership to both large multi-national companies and entrepreneurial enterprises. This background provides Mr. Sachsenmaier with a unique perspective when evaluating management talent.
Prior to joining Eton Partners, Mr. Sachsenmaier was President of Global Sales for the EDS Corporation where he developed the sales strategy, team selling concepts, integration with operations and sales cycle structure for their Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) practice. While at EDS, Mr. Sachsenmaier’s team was responsible for growing the business to $500 million annually.
Mr. Sachsenmaier was Vice President and General Manager of Global Sales at Exult, a human resources BPO startup. Prior to Exult, Mr. Sachsenmaier led teams that closed more than $2 billion in new contract value at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and he consulted for three years with British Telecommunications to develop a new outsourcing company.
At PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Sachsenmaier spearheaded a successful new practice focused on assisting large companies in the outsourcing for their back-office functions. Mr. Sachsenmaier founded and sold two companies, Shamrock Automation and Teco Technologies, which provided software to the Property and Casualty Insurance industry, and to utilities, respectively. His career began with IBM Corporation, where he worked his way through the sales organization into executive management.
Mr. Sachsenmaier, who earned two bachelor’s degrees at Clemson University, is active in the Atlanta community. He is past chairman of the board of the Alliance Theatre and has served on the executive committee of the Woodruff Arts Center. Additionally, he served for six years on the board of trustees of the Atlanta International School and is involved at The Cathedral of St. Philip. He and his wife, Lana, have three daughters.
Kathi Burt serves as Eton Partners’ Managing Associate where she oversees our candidate development and research functions. She is an executive search professional with over 20 years of experience in retained executive search. Ms. Burt has focused on search assignments at the officer and C-level for a diverse group of companies that have spanned multiple industries to include financial services, manufacturing, real estate, consumer products, and health care. Ms. Burt has deep experience in the Retained Executive Search industry and she leads the firms’ assignments for senior level management within the Private Equity community. She previously worked with international executive search firms Korn/Ferry International and Heidrick & Struggles, specializing in senior management level searches. Here she gained search experience in a wide variety of industries and functional areas. Ms. Burt started her career with the Citizens & Southern National Bank where she held various positions within the Community Banking Group and the Human Resources Department. Ms. Burt hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia.
